Job Description

Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00

A specialist glazing and fenestration contractor is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join its growing design team based in Harlow.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects throughout London and the South East, you will play a key role in producing technical drawings and supporting the delivery of bespoke glazing, curtain walling, window, door and internal glass systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and expanding business where you will gain exposure to all stages of project delivery, from design and technical coordination through to fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings for aluminium and steel window, door and curtain walling systems.
  • Prepare technical drawings for internal glazing, partitions, doors and fire-rated screens.
  • Carry out measured site surveys and incorporate findings into design packages.
  • Liaise with architects, contractors, consultants and internal teams to develop and finalise designs.
  • Prepare drawing packages for client approval, fabrication and installation.
  • Assist with technical submittals, glass schedules and material take-offs.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building regulations and industry standards.
  • Attend site meetings and project visits across London and the South East as required.
  • Maintain drawing registers and project documentation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of design processes and technical standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
