Are you passionate about great customer service and making a real difference in people's lives?
Southend Care Ltd is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Cafe Assistant to join our welcoming café team. As part of this role, you will play an important part in supporting people with learning disabilities to develop valuable employment and hospitality skills, helping them build confidence, independence, and experience in a supportive environment.

Hours of work: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 9.30am - 2.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting people with learning disabilities to learn practical café and customer service skills.
- Preparing and serving a range of food, including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, salads, and cakes.
- Making high-quality coffees and hot drinks using a commercial barista machine.
- Providing a warm and friendly welcome to residents, visitors, staff, and people who use our services.
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times.
- Handling cash and card payments accurately.
- Completing end-of-day cashing-up and banking procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health and safety.
- Working as part of a supportive and dedicated team to ensure the café runs smoothly.

- Committed to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

Essential Requirements
- Experience in a café, hospitality, catering, or customer service role.
- Experience handling cash and card payments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
