Café Manager — Café Eddie’s (Cambridge Innovation Park)

Bring great coffee, great service, and great people together. Café Eddie’s is the social hub of Cambridge Innovation Park, serving quality coffee, fresh food, and friendly vibes to local businesses and our local community.

We’re looking for a Café Manager to...

  • Lead daily café operations with pride - quality, speed, and a warm welcome.
  • Grow and mentor a brilliant team, including people with a learning disability or autism, building confidence, skills, and independence.
  • Shape menus, events, and community partnerships that make Café Eddie’s the place people love to gather.
  • Keep the back-of-house sharp—ordering stock, compiling rotas, complying with Health and Safety regulations, managing cash/stock control.

What you’ll bring…

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality venue – essential
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys supporting and developing co workers – essential
  • Organised, reliable, and confident in assisting with operations and stock – essential
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service experience – essential
  • Flexible and proactive, with the ability to adapt in a growing business – essential
  • Level 3 qualification in Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering – essential
  • Previous experience of promoting work and independence skills with people with a learning disability or Autism – desirable

Main Duties...

  • Responsible for managing a team of staff, leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Leading on daily operations, including staff rotas, opening/closing procedures, and delegating tasks,
  • Assisting with recruitment, and training of new co-workers
  • Overseeing coffee and food preparation to maintain high quality standards
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally when required
  • Responsible for stock management, ordering, and weekly stock takes
  • Supporting sales growth through upselling, waste management, and operational efficiency
  • Complying with food hygiene regulations including inspections
  • Complying with registered premised licence, and managing cash limits and banking – finance returns.
