Café Manager Role at Morrisons
From a Bradford market stall to the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, we’re proud to be Morrisons – a Yorkshire food retailer serving customers across the UK through over 500 stores and an online home delivery service.
Our business focuses mainly on food & grocery, uniquely sourcing and processing most of the fresh produce we sell through our manufacturing facilities.
The Role
We’re looking for a high-performing Café Manager to drive our business forward. Our cafés offer delicious options like hearty breakfasts, freshly brewed coffee, and homemade baked goods, serving hundreds daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer-Centric Leadership: Lead your team to prioritise customer service excellence.
- Performance Management: Listen to customer feedback and respond accordingly.
- Ensure extensive availability in operational hours to maintain market-leading service.
- Collaborate with other store managers to create a supportive, results-orientated team culture.
- Oversee departmental scheduling, absence, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
- Training & Upskilling: Deliver training to ensure team members can thrive in their roles, including cross-departmental support.
- Identify and nurture talent within the café department.
- Build strong connections across other departments to enhance operational efficiency and collaboration.
- Drive team performance to meet all relevant operational targets.
- Take a leadership role within the store and ensure resources are planned thoroughly.

No prior experience in Morrisons? No problem! Whether you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, travel, or tourism, what matters is your passion for exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm to bring our customers the best—toyout-total-department-experience—counts.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills—able to share knowledge, inspire teams, and foster collaboration.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
- Ability to adapt to change while effectively debating and leveraging it for the team’s improvement.
- Commitment to listening and responding to both customers and colleagues, using feedback to drive progress.
