Head Café Manager – Get Ready for Your Best Coffee Break Yet

Our Story: From a Hull to the Yorkshire Legend

From a humble Bradford market stall to the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, we are proud to be Morrisons—the unapologetic food retailer with over 500 stores and a booming online home delivery service.

A slightly different approach to food

We focus on fresh, where we can—processing and sourcing the bulk of our own fresh food through morrisons.com in-house manufacturing facilities. It’s a little different from your average supermarket.

The Role: Leaving Café Culture with a latte on Your Terms

We’re on the hunt for a high-performing Café Manager to help us continue to scale and thrive. Think of us as your local coffee station, bustling with breakfast makers, pastry perfumers, and all-rounds who love serving every customer decisively.

The café is your kingdom

Reporting into the Area Hospitality Manager, you’ll be:

  • Listening to and acting on customer feedback with vigour and precision
  • Maintaining market-leading availability across the store
  • Collaborating with other in-store managers in a supportive, performance-driven department
  • Ensuring a clear, well-oiled schedule—handling absence management, performance evaluations, and talent growth conversations
  • T身高 colleagues rigorously so they’re capable across different operational verticals
  • Identifying and nurturing future talent that you yourself would hire
  • Strategic relationships: Building alliances with other operational departments (such as Logistics, Canteen Wekstat, and Assortments) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Uplifting expectations: Leading colleagues to crystal-clear purpose—blurring performance targets into everyday operations
  • Taking charge as your store’s habeas entertainment VIP (hometown slang for "Fave Café Operator") while at the same time managing effective resource allocation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
