From a Bradford market stall to the UK’s fifth largest supermarket, we are proud to be Yorkshire’s food retailer, serving customers across the UK through over 500 stores and an online home delivery service.
Our business specialises in food and grocery, uniquely sourcing and processing most of the fresh produce we sell through our own manufacturing facilities.
We’re looking for a high-performing Café Manager to help us grow and succeed.
About the Role
Our Cafés provide everything from delicious hearty breakfasts to freshly brewed coffee and homely cakes for hundreds of customers each day.
As Café Manager, you’ll lead and empower your team to always prioritise customer satisfaction and deliver outstanding service. Reporting to the Area Hospitality Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Listening and acting on customer feedback
- Ensuring market-leading service availability across all stores
- Collaborating with other store managers to build a dynamic, performance-driven department.
- Managing people routines, including scheduling, absence, performance reviews, and talent development.
- Developing and delivering training programmes to ensure the team delivers with confidence and capability.
- Empowering colleagues to work seamlessly across different departments.
- Identifying and nurturing talent within your team.
- Building strong relationships with other operations departments.
- Leading the team with purpose, driving excellent performance against all targets.
- Taking accountability for resource planning.

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in leading teams within a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service (whether previously in retail, hospitality, travel, or tourism).
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong adaptability and an ability to effectively challenge and respond to change.
- Active listening and responsiveness skills for team and customer resolutions.
No prior experience with us is needed—just enthusiasm for our values!
