Cafe Supervisor - Costa
Cafe Supervisor – Part-Time (30 Hours) // High Street Brand Technology, London Science Cluster, UK
At one of Compass Group UK&I’s flagship High Street brands, we’re looking for a dedicated and motivated Cafe Supervisor to oversee front-of-house operations while fostering a positive work environment.
About the Role
This is a part-time role (fixed at 30 hours per week), operating with variable shift patterns. You will be key in ensuring a consistently high standard of service, food safety, and team morale.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence
- Oversee all deliveries to ensure quality, punctuality, and accurate storage in compliance with company and food safety protocols.
- Maintain strict adherence to Food Handling & Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.

Team Leadership & Support
- Supervise a frontline team, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Delegate tasks effectively to ensure proactivity and efficiency.
- Assume keyholder responsibility when required.

- Stock & Process Management
- Produce weekly rotas following managerial guidelines.
- Place timely stock orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Handle necessary recording duties, including bookwork.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals with:
- Previous experience supervising frontline teams in a foodservice or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, with a customer-service-first mindset to promote exceptional guest experiences.
- A collaborative attitude as a team player with a "can-do" approach, even under pressure.
- The ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanour in a fast-paced environment.
