Team Member — Café Role

About the Role

Tea is brewing. Café doors are opening. The day is about to start, and so are our café team members. They’re the talented people making every day a little better for our customers. Now, you can join them.

As a Team Member in our café, you're part of everything: cooking, chatting with customers, and making a real impact. Dedicated to great service, you’ll ensure every dish you prepare lives up to the menu’s promise and meets all safety standards. You’ll also maintain the café’s tidiness, from kitchen equipment to customer tables.

This is a lively role, full of everyday challenges—but that’s also part of what makes it exciting! You can enjoy:

  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunities for progression
  • Guaranteed minimum hours (a minimum of 8 hours per week)

We operate within set availability windows, which are shown in the table. Schedule builds will be available weekly using these windows. 3 weeks’ notice will be given for exact shifts. We support flexibility, so if your availability aligns closely with ours, we still welcome your application.

Candidates must be 18+ to apply.

Key Responsibilities

While specific tasks depend on business needs, your role will include:

  • Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and organised
  • Serving customers efficiently and with care
  • Following food safety and hygiene regulations, updating daily records
  • Applying FIFO (First In, First Out) for fresh stock management
  • Handling deliveries and storing food safely
  • Adhering to Policy and Procedures
  • Preparing and serving food according to menu standards
  • Ensuring standards are met and all food products are available
  • Being a menu specialist and serving food exactly as intended
  • Resolving complaints and relaying information to Café Manager
  • Staying updated on business communications and initiatives
  • Clearing and sanitising tables

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
