We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Café Volunteer to support our team at our Café, working with staff and people we support. Volunteering with Creative Support is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with support needs.
As a Café Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping the café run smoothly and creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere for customers. Working closely alongside our staff team, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the café, helping people we support to serve customers and prepare food and drinks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys conversation, working as part of a team and is interested in a hospitality/customer service role. If you can spare a couple of hours on a regular basis, we would love to hear from you!
The Courtyard Café is located in Horsforth and is open to the public. Staff work alongside people we support, working with them to serve customers, prepare food and use the coffee machine.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
