Role Description
The Cake Decorator is a full-time, on-site role based in Stockport. This role involves designing and decorating cakes to customer specifications, including piping, fondant work, and custom themes. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing cake bases
- Applying fillings and frostings
- Decorating cookies and other baked items
- Ensuring all products meet quality and presentation standards

The Cake Decorator will collaborate with the bakery team to:
- Manage orders
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation
- Support inventory of decorating supplies
Regular interaction with customers and the front-of-house team is expected to confirm design details, provide product guidance, and help ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Bakery and Baking, with experience producing consistent, high-quality baked goods.
- Demonstrated expertise in Cake Decorating, including piping, fondant work, and custom design execution.
- Ability to decorate and present Cookies and other baked items to a high visual and taste standard.
- Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage custom requests, and handle feedback professionally.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong sense of aesthetics in food presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple orders, and meet tight deadlines.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge; formal food safety certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a commercial bakery, patisserie, or cake shop is preferred.
