TT Electronics, Sheffield, products include sensors, thermocouples, thermometers, transducers, transmitters, flowmeters and controllers and a team of field-based engineers provide a full calibration, maintenance and repair service throughout the UK. Role Overview and Responsibilities Joining our team as a Calibration Technician, you'll be required to provide a safe, proactive, flexible and comprehensive service, to support our customers in maintaining instrumentation and systems across electrical, flow, pressure and temperature parameters of work. Key Responsibilities Include: Communicating with customers, Service & engineers via telephone/email/direct contact. Liaising with Sales to organise quotations for contracts, new equipment, replacement. equipment, etc. Managing, organising, and updating certificate data using database applications (IndySoft, SalesForce and Epicor) Calibrating internal reference equipment and customers’ instruments to UKAS and/or traceable standards. Ensuring that all reference standards are fit for purpose and are within calibration at the time of use. Producing Coil Calibration Certificates of Conformity for the Production Department. Ensuring that turnaround times are met within the Calibration Services Department. Highlighting any problems in the on-site calibration department to Laboratory Manager/Supervisor. Always maintaining a high level of housekeeping (5S) in the department. Adhering to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management. Providing technical assistance to the Sales & Administration departments. Participating in meetings, conferences, and project team activities. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes What We Look For: A minimum of three main areas of expertise within the Parameters Temperature / Electrical / Flow or Pressure. An understanding of the safety aspects of processes and materials in the above areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective relationship/team working skills. A good understanding of quality specification requirements. Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems) A general understanding of continuous improvements and lean principles. A good understanding of ISO17025:2017 (UKAS) and the aerospace specification AMS2750F. Need to possess good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills. Must maintain a proactive approach to work activities. Must have excellent attention to detail. Must have excellent time management skills. Must be able to maintain accurate records and prepare reports. Must be able to make rational decisions under pressure. The following would enhance your application but is not essential to apply: Knowledge of indySoft, SalesForce and Epicor (or similar ERP system) Please note that this role is field based and will involve travel (>50% of the time) within the Midlands area.
