Ontic: Calibration Specialist Opportunity

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Calibration Specialist to join our Engineering team where you'll provide support with administration and calibration functions. This role will be based at our Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham site.

Ontic is more than just a business, we're a community of innovators who pride ourselves on fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. We're committed to excellence, driving us to continuously improve and adapt, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry.

The Role:

Join Ontic as a Calibration Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of our calibration operations across multiple sites.

In this fast-paced and varied role, you'll:

  • Coordinate calibration activities
  • Manage equipment logistics
  • Maintain accurate calibration records
  • Support purchasing activities to keep our operations running smoothly

Acting as the key link between internal teams and external calibration providers, you'll ensure equipment is calibrated on time and meets stringent quality and regulatory standards.

Approximately 30% of this role involves transporting calibration equipment between company sites. As part of these duties, the successful candidate will be required to safely load, unload, and move equipment weighing between 20–30kg without mechanical assistance. A UK driving licence is essential, as the role includes driving the company calibration van between locations.

If you're highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment where your work directly supports manufacturing excellence, we'd love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career within a global aerospace organisation committed to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
