Call Centre Advisor

Call Centre Advisor (Outbound Caller) – Severner Trent Partnership Join Severn Trent Water as a customer-focused Call Centre Advisor

About the Role

FJA is working with a leading national organisation in the Water Industry to recruit Customer-Focused Call Centre Advisors. This role is based at their headquarters in Walsall, West Midlands.

The position offers the potential for a permanent role after completing a probationary period of 6 months. Ideal for those with exceptional customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and a professional telephone manner.

As a key part of Severn Trent Water, you’ll assist customers experiencing common household issues such as:

  • Broken toilets
  • Burst pipes
  • Boiler problems
  • Water butt malfunctions

You’ll also make outbound calls to schedule appointment visits for maintenance staff.


Key Responsibilities

As an Outbound Caller, your role will include:

  • Listening to customer concerns (leaks, low pressure, outages etc.) and addressing them professionally
  • Managing requests/pissues related to:
    • Water pressure issues
    • Leak reporting
    • Service outages
    • Scheduled maintenance updates
  • Bookings/coordinating maintenance visits by making proactive outbound calls to individuals

Person Specification: Essential/Criteria

✅ Experience

  • Previous work in Call Centre or Customer Service positions
  • Familiarity with outbound sales/customer engagement processes

✅ Personality & Skillset

  • Highly proactive self-starter with strong initiative
  • Enjoyable telephone communication – excellent speaker/manner
  • Comfortable within a call centre environment

✅ Technical Proficiency

  • Excel/Word competencies (data entry, document handling)

✅ Soft Skills

  • Exceptional customer service delivery
  • Resilient attitude to high-volume customer interactions
