Help us to provide construction skills training for BAME NEET's - empowering young lives in Lambeth.

We want to establish SLYC's Construction Training Service with a launch event. Can you help us increase awareness with our ambitious fundraising strategy.

  • Craft a strategy to blast our crowdfunder across platforms
  • Engage with local Lambeth businesses, leaders and youth advocates
  • Help us reach our £2,500 fundraising goal by July 31st 2026

We're looking for a creative and experienced social media champion to run this short-term digital campaign, get people talking, and help reach funders and local leaders.

We are happy to work with you

We ask that contact from all volunteers comes through Reach initially.

What You'll Do

  • Craft a strategy to blast our crowdfunder across platforms
  • Engage with local Lambeth businesses, leaders and youth advocates
  • Help us reach our £2,500 fundraising target
  • Have core social media skills e.g. hands-on experience with platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, etc...
  • Have content creation/design skills
  • Be familiar with and regularly use scheduling tools

What will you be doing?

Do you want to use your digital skills to help build a brighter future for Lambeths Youth?

Right now, we are raising £2,500 for our October 2026 launch event.

We Need Your Skills

SLYC is a brand new charity on a mission. We provide life-changing construction skills training for Black-heritage youths (ages 16-24), in Lambeth who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).

To kick things off, we've launched a Crowdfunding Campaign to raise £2,500 for our launch event this October 2026.

We are seeking a social media savvy volunteer to help us make some serious noise!

If you know how to build a buzz, create viral awareness, and grab the attention of corporate funders and local authorities - we want you on our team!

This is a short-term project.
