We are looking for a talented Camera Operator & Video Editor to join PA Media Assignments, creating fast-paced, editorially driven commercial video content for some of the world's biggest brands, PR agencies, charities and corporate clients.

About us

PA Media is the UK's national news agency, delivering trusted news, information and content to media, brands and businesses for more than 150 years.

Our purpose is simple: we build trust in news, data and content.

PA Media Assignments is the commercial photography and video division of PA Media. We create fast, editorially driven visual content for brands, PR agencies, charities and corporate organisations, distributing content through PA's unrivalled media network.

Working with clients including Coca-Cola, Guinness World Records, Samsung, Google, Amazon and Uber, no two assignments are ever the same. From filming major campaigns and live events to creating social-first content and travelling internationally, this is a role that offers variety, creativity and the opportunity to work on exciting projects every day. This is commercial storytelling with an editorial edge, delivered at pace and to the highest standards.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative, fast-paced team producing high-quality commercial video content for a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally.

You'll be a versatile and ambitious Camera Operator & Video Editor who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys turning real-world moments into compelling visual stories.

Working alongside experienced producers, editors and creatives, you'll play a key role throughout the production process, from planning and filming on location through to editing engaging content for broadcast, digital and social platforms. You'll always work alongside a producer on set and will be trusted to capture clean, editorially sharp content while delivering to tight deadlines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for someone who is organised, collaborative and confident with both camera equipment and storytelling. If you're the kind of person who can walk into any location, assess the light, find the shot and get the story moving, you'll fit right in.

This role will generally be working Monday to Friday with some weekend work as well as early starts and evenings for shoots, with 3 days a week in our London office. Domestic and international travel may be required with overnights.

What you'll be doing

  • Film high-quality video content using Sony camera systems across a wide range of commercial productions.
  • Support pre-production planning by reviewing briefs, preparing equipment and helping develop shot lists and creative treatments.
  • Capture interviews, events and branded content in both widescreen and vertical formats.
  • Set up lighting and record high-quality audio in a variety of environments.
  • Edit engaging video content for broadcast, digital and social platforms using Premiere Pro and CapCut, often delivering fast-turnaround edits to meet client and media deadlines.
  • Produce multiple versions of content, including hero edits, b-roll packages and social cutdowns for different platforms.
  • Add graphics, captions, subtitles, colour correction and audio mixing to produce polished final edits.
  • Organise, back up and manage media using a clean and efficient workflow with strong file management and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all content meets PA's high standards for quality, accuracy and editorial integrity, with the correct permissions, metadata and captions.
  • Take a proactive approach to solving problems and contribute creative ideas throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with producers, clients and colleagues to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.
  • Travel throughout the UK and internationally when required.
