CAMHS Acute Dietitian
Band 7 | Part Time – 18.75 hours per week
New CAMHS Inpatient Unit | Haywards Heath
£49,387 – £56,515 pro rata

Help shape a newly redesigned CAMHS inpatient service, providing specialist dietetic leadership and supporting young people's physical and mental health as part of a modern, multidisciplinary inpatient team.

Who can apply
We're looking for:

HCPC Registered Dietitians with:
-
Significant post-registration experience in dietetics
-
Experience supporting patients with complex physical and mental health needs

Experience of enteral feeding and nutritional assessment

Experience working within multidisciplinary teams

An interest in CAMHS, acute mental health and service development

As a Band 7 CAMHS Acute Dietitian, you'll provide specialist dietetic assessment, intervention and leadership for young people receiving inpatient mental health care.
You'll:
- Lead the nutritional assessment and management of young people on the unit
- Deliver specialist dietetic interventions and treatment plans
- Support safe admissions, reviews and discharge planning
- Work closely with families, carers and community CAMHS teams
- Provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to quality improvement, research and service development
- Champion trauma-informed, strengths-based and recovery-focused care

The newly redesigned CAMHS inpatient unit has been developed through extensive co-design with young people, families and staff, alongside significant investment in the clinical model, workforce and environment.
The service offers:
- Purposeful admissions with early review points
- A structured seven-day therapeutic programme
- Strong links with the COAST Crisis Outreach Team
- Trauma-informed and autism-aware care
