This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader with strong operational experience who thrives in a dynamic clinical setting and is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
The successful candidate must be a proactive and highly organised Business Manager to support the operational and strategic delivery of our National & Specialist CAMHS Outpatient Services. This requires strong problem-solving, planning, and influencing skills within a complex, specialist outpatient department.
- Ensure effective operational systems are in place to meet Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and deliver high-quality services.
- Oversee performance reporting, manage waiting times, monitor data quality, and support clinical activity reporting.
- Lead on risk management, health and safety compliance, incident reporting, and business continuity planning.
- Support clinical teams with performance insights and data analysis.
- Contribute to business planning, strategic proposals, and service improvement initiatives, including marketing and communication.
- Manage staffing processes, oversee expenses and invoicing, and ensure accurate financial and activity reporting.
- Line-manage administrative and clerical teams, including recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and training compliance.
- Address performance issues within the team in accordance with Trust policies.
- Lead on service-wide projects, support ICT implementations, and resolve estates issues promptly.

Flexible Working
As one of the few Trusts in London we are proud to offer flexible working as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage. In this role you will be able to work Monday to Friday in the time frames from 8am to 6pm giving you the very best of good work life balance. On some occasions work may also be required outside of these core hours, for example at weekends and evenings. (This may include working early mornings, later evenings or Saturdays as part of the core working hours/working pattern for this post)

About our locations:
Maudsley Hospital (headquarters)
This full-time post is currently based at the Michael Rutter Centre, Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, London. SE5 8AZ., but travel between the Out-Patient sites may be required. Please note the planned move to the Pears Maudsley Children and Young People (PMCYP) at the same site in May 2026)
Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2) and is within walking distance from the beautiful green spaces of Ruskin Park and the vibrant high-street that offers great shopping opportunities and with a wide range of restaurants.
