Location: Kidlington Airport, Oxfordshire
Rate: £26.00 per hour PAYE £34.78 per hour Umbrella
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 37.5 hours per week

Airworthiness Engineer Opportunity

Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Airworthiness/ CAMO Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation supporting the continuing airworthiness of a modern rotary-wing fleet.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), where you'll play a key role in ensuring aircraft remain compliant, safe and available for operations.

The Role

As an Airworthiness Engineer, you will be responsible for managing aircraft maintenance programmes, reviewing airworthiness documentation, planning maintenance activities and materials, and maintaining accurate technical records. Working within the CAMO team, you will ensure regulatory compliance while supporting the efficient delivery of aircraft maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain aircraft maintenance programmes.
  • Review and assess Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, modifications, repairs and other technical documentation issued by regulatory authorities and OEMs.
  • Develop, review and implement Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and aircraft configurations.
  • Support Airworthiness Reviews and Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) extensions.
  • Complete repetitive defect and reliability analysis.
  • Review and update aircraft flight manuals.
  • Review technical logs and record aircraft utilisation data.
  • Plan both Line and Base Maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and review maintenance variations.
  • Plan materials and raise purchase requisitions where required.
  • Update aircraft and engine maintenance records.
  • Process component log cards for return to the materials management team.
  • Provide support across the wider CAMO function.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing CAMO processes and procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of aircraft airworthiness.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Continuing Airworthiness requirements relating to Part-CAMO regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexible and capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable

  • Experience using continuing airworthiness management software for maintenance and materials planning.
  • Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters products and associated technical documentation.
  • Aviation-related degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Human Factors training.
  • Recognised Part-CAMO training.
  • Recognised Part-145 training.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications (NVQ, BTEC or similar).

Desirable

  • Aviation-related degree or equivalent.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must:

  • Be eligible to obtain DBS and Security Clearance (SC).
  • Meet all applicable Export Control requirements.
