Campaigns Manager
Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for a Campaigns Manager to join us at our International Office in Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive annual salary of £40-45k per annum.

The Role
The Campaigns Manager at Action for Humanity (AFH) plays a key cross-organisational role, supporting the campaign’s function while reporting to the Director of Marketing and Comms. The Campaigns Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring the performance of key campaigns. They will work closely with all departments, as well as external partners and stakeholders, to ensure campaigns are coordinated, impactful, and aligned with organisational priorities. This role involves overseeing all aspects of campaign management, from information collation and content creation to performance analysis and reporting, ensuring that campaign targets and fundraising goals are achieved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., communications, creative, digital) to develop campaign strategies.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including partners, influencers, and media, to amplify campaign efforts.
- Ensure all campaigns align with AFH’s core mission and strategic objectives.
- Manage and deliver seasonal, emergency, and thematic campaigns, adhering to deadlines and campaign timelines.

Campaign Monitoring & Optimisation
- Track, analyse, and report on the performance of all campaigns.
- Optimise campaigns based on data insights to ensure maximum impact, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Implement real-time adjustments during campaigns to meet KPIs and optimise return on investment (ROI).

Stakeholder Liaison
- Act as a liaison across departments, including fundraising, programmes, communications, creative, digital and other relevant teams, ensuring that all campaign elements are cohesive.
- Regularly update senior leadership on campaign progress and performance.
- Coordinate live appeals, website content updates, events, and field visits to support campaign efforts.

Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop comprehensive post-campaign reports, including key learnings and recommendations for future campaigns.
- Monitor donor behaviour, campaign engagement, and other critical metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to annual campaign performance reviews and strategic planning.

Other
- Live Appeals: Coordinate and manage live appeal events to maximise real-time donations.
- Website Content & Appeals: Ensure the website is up to date with relevant appeal content for active campaigns.
- Event Campaigns: Plan and execute marketing strategies around charity events.
- Field Visits Campaigns: Support field visits to generate content for storytelling and campaign promotion.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s in a related field such as marketing, communications, media, project management, humanitarian/development studies or equivalent relevant experience (Essential)
- Master’s in a related field, CIM Level 7 or equivalent professional qualification/experience (Desirable)
- Evidence of continuous professional development
Experience
- A track record of effective performance in campaign coordination, project delivery, communications, fundraising or a related role (Essential)
- Proven ability to contribute to operational planning and strategic delivery of campaigns or cross-organisational projects (Essential)
- Track record of internal and external stakeholder management (Essential)
- Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders effectively (Essential)
- Experience leading on, coordinating or evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns, appeals or audience engagement activity (Essential)
- Experience with campaign life cycle stages (planning through to evaluation)
- Experience with all aspects of campaign management (digital, operational, etc) (Essential)
- Able to follow and support relevant policies, procedures and guidelines, including brand, content, fundraising and compliance requirements (Essential)
- Understanding of key software packages and reporting tools, such as Adobe Suite, Google Analytics or equivalent platforms (Essential)
Skills & Attributes
- Project Management skills and use of project management systems, software and tools (Essential)
- Articulate written, visual, and verbal communicator, excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills (Essential)
- Knowledge of relevant compliance areas, including media/content guidance, copyright, GDPR, fundraising regulation and Charity Commission requirements (Essential)
- Strong stakeholder management skills (Essential)
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and balance competing priorities and deadlines (Essential)
- Good understanding of content management systems, website updates and digital content coordination (Essential)
- Understanding of geopolitical, humanitarian and international development trends throughout the world but particularly in the Middle East (Essential)
- Good understanding of social media in a professional setting and how it can support campaigns, appeals and audience engagement (Desirable)
- Working knowledge of digital tools and technologies used to support campaigns, reporting and content delivery (Desirable)

- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Knowledge of Arabic, Urdu, French are desirable
