Campus Security Officer

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Location: Manchester City Football Club Campus, M11 | Etihad Stadium & City Football Academy

About the Role

Protect one of the world’s most iconic sporting destinations.

At G4S, we don’t just provide security—we create safe environments where elite sport, world-class events and exceptional experiences can thrive.

We’re looking for outstanding Security Officers to join our dedicated team protecting Manchester City Football Club’s Etihad Stadium and City Football Academy. This is more than a security role; it’s an opportunity to become part of a professional team responsible for safeguarding elite athletes, employees, visitors and one of the UK’s most recognised sporting campuses.

Every shift is different. From supporting day-to-day campus operations, to responding to incidents and helping deliver a safe environment during high-profile events, you’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and represent both G4S and Manchester City with professionalism.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a visible and reassuring presence across the campus, carrying out patrols, managing access control, responding to incidents and providing exceptional customer service to everyone you encounter.
  • Whether welcoming visitors, supporting colleagues during emergencies or protecting critical facilities, your contribution will have a direct impact on the safety and success of the operation.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking confident, customer-focused professionals who remain calm under pressure and take pride in delivering exceptional service.

Essential Requirements Include

  • Aged 18 years or over
  • Must be resident in the UK, with a valid Right to Work
  • A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Valid SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance Licence (or successfully gain within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach to safety and security
  • Professionalism, integrity and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work a 42-hour rotating shift pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
