Cancer Services Administrator

Cancer Services MDT Coordinator (Administrator)

We are recruiting a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator with a background in administration and a passion for delivering an impactful difference within Cancer Services.

Role Overview

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining on-site and home-based work across Somerset. Travel to Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital will be required to facilitate weekly MDT meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work 37.5 hours per week, ensuring consistent availability for online and in-person MDT meetings (including via MS Teams).
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues, both remotely and in person.
  • Handle virtual and face-to-face MDT coordination with confidence.
  • Oversee meeting equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Utilise medical terminology proficiency in written and verbal correspondence.
  • Maintain administrative accuracy with competence in typing and document management.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in healthcare administration, preferably within oncology/MDT environments.
  • Knowledge of patient care management in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills to liaise with medical teams, IT, and senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as MS Teams and demonstrated adaptability for virtual collaboration.
