Job Title: Business Analyst (with Operational Support responsibilities) Fluent in: Cantonese and Mandarin
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Business Analyst with strong project and operational support skills. This dual role requires evaluating and enhancing business processes while providing critical daily support to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
The position combines Business Analysis and Projects with Operational Support, offering a dynamic and varied workload. Responsibilities include improving workflows, documentations, and stakeholder management alongside general call-handling and administrative duties.
Territory: Hybrid (1 day WFH, 4 days in office) Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Start: ASAP Salary: Up to £45k (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Projects
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Review and optimise workflows for improved efficiency and customer experience
- Assist in project coordination, implementation, and testing
- Prepare user guides, process documentation, and training materials
- Develop test cases for system/process changes and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Collaborate with teams to drive and implement process improvements

Operational Support
- Handle hotline enquiries, internal/external stakeholder correspondence
- Provide daily operational and administrative support
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and clear desk guidelines
Business Development – Process Focus
Maintain a structured approach for improved workflows: ✔ Adhere to confidentiality and compliance policies (Clear Desk Policy) ✔ Exercise due diligence in handling transactions to minimise risk. ✔ Identify process improvement opportunities within operations and reporting.
People & Collaboration
✔ Promote open communication and teamwork with colleagues. ✔ Actively seek support when required and foster strong working relationships.
Customer Focus
✔ Deeply understand the bank’s products and services to offer informed guidance. ✔ Deliver prompt resolutions to customer queries, concerns, and complaints. ✔ Build customer trust through consistent, compliant, and transparent support.
Compliance & Risk Management
✔ Ensuring full adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. ✔ Identifying risks, mitigating issues, and reporting violations where necessary. ✔ Conducting daily duties with high integrity and accountability.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Retail banking experience or Business Analysis experience (preferably in online/card services)
- Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
- Strong knowledge of core banking processes (payments, compliance)
- Proficiency in Excel, familiarity with SQL/Power BI is advantageous
- Hands-on experience:
- Translating requirements into Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaboration with JIRA preferred
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills for customer interactions and stakeholder meetings
