Supply Chain Capacity Planner
Position Overview
As part of LVMH / Moët Hennessy, The Glenmorangie Company, two of Scotland’s most acclaimed single malt whiskies—Glenmorangie and Ardbeg—are crafted, distributed, and marketed. Glenmorangie is celebrated for its smooth, complex whisky, exceptional wood maturation techniques, and innovative designs. Meanwhile, Ardbeg is renowned as the ultimate Islay whisky, distinguished by its smoky profile and distinctive branding.
The Supply Chain Capacity Planner ensures efficient optimisation of resource utilisation across the supply chain to meet demand effectively. This role involves forecasting future capacity requirements, analysing current and future demands, and formulating strategic plans to guarantee sufficient production, storage, and transportation capabilities. The ideal candidate will showcase strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, and the ability to translate complex data into capacity strategies.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust capacity planning models to assess current and future supply chain capabilities across all critical functions.
- Conduct comprehensive demand pattern analysis to evaluate potential impacts on supply chain capacity.
- Collaborate with production, commercial, and operations teams to align capacity plans strategically.
- Proactively identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and risks, then develop and implement mitigation strategies for uninterrupted supply and operational efficiency.
- Analyse the financial implications of capacity-related decisions, balancing cost-effectiveness with service level attainment.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to capacity utilisation, lead times, and on-time delivery—recommending and implementing performance-enhancing adjustments.
- Continuously review and adjust capacity plans in response to unforeseen circumstances or demand changes, maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Reconcile variances from original plans and report actual performance against projections.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal capacity planning inquiries and short-term alerts to MH Central Team, ensuring timely communication of factors impacting serviceability.
- Collaborate with MH Central Team on strategies for stock coverage and Slow & Obsolete Stock (SLOB) management.
- Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, facilitating critical decision-making discussions.

Profile
Technical Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain planning.
- Track record in developing sophisticated planning models.
- Practical understanding and experience with budgeting processes.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in:
- Industry-standard planning software (e.g., ERP systems, advanced planning systems)
- Data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Experience in ERP system roll-outs and system transition successes.
