Senior Fixed Income Sales Professional (Flow & Structured Products)
Location: UK, Ireland, Nordics (with frequent travel to Vienna) Division: Capital Markets Responsible for: Institutional Client Distribution of Fixed Income Products
About the Role
Join a dynamic Fixed Income Sales team at RBI’s Capital Markets division, distributing innovative Flow and Structured products to sophisticated Institutional Clients across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
As a key member of this team, you will:
- Act as a analytics-driven sales professional, collaborating across RBI’s business units to deliver bespoke solutions.
- Strengthen client relationships while expanding the client base and improving profitability.
- Represent RBI’s product suite (including Government Bonds, Covered Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Derivatives and Private Placements) through tailored conversations and strategy development.
- Work closely with Trading, DCM, Syndicate, Research, Capital Markets Data & Solutions to drive revenue growth.
- Co-develop new market strategies and product innovations.
Responsibilities
Sales & Client Management
- Execute fixed-income Flow and Structured products across hard and Emerging Market (CEE/CIS) currencies.
- Analyze client-collectives to refine sales strategies, cross-sell opportunities, and profitability growth.
- Proactively acquire and service clients – including multi-national banks, asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and insurance companies.
- Represent RBI’s offerings through:
- One-on-one investor updates
- Personal stakeholder meetings
- Strategic market commentary
Market & Product Strategy
- Support desk strategy and innovation by:
- Collaborating with Capital Markets Data & Solutions on trade execution platforms (Bloomberg/Marketaxess/Tradeweb).
- Exploring new product opportunities in coordination with Fixed Income Trading and Strategy teams.

Operational & Collaborative Duties
- Engage with Trading, Syndicate, DCM, and Research to optimise deal structuring and execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID), delivering advice and execution while mitigating risk.
- Adapt to a hybrid environment, balancing in-house work, remote collaboration, and frequent travel (Vienna-based engagements are expected).
Requirements
Education & Expertise
- University degree in a financially-relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Fixed Income Sales (specialising in institutional markets).
- Deep knowledge of client-facing roles within asset/hedge fund asset management, pension funds, and custody services (UK, Ireland, Nordics).
Product & Market Proficiency
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income instruments including:
- Corporate Bonds
- Government Bonds
- Private Placements
- Derivatives
- CEE/CIS/Hard Currency Bonds
- Experience with local market structuring, including regional credibility.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Technical proficiency in Bloomberg, Marketaxess, and Tradeweb for research and transaction execution.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, with strong quantitative/analytical thinking.
Commercial & Regulatory Awareness
- Regulatory reporting (MiFID knowledge highly preferred) for compliance and client advice transparency.
- Comparative market research—ability to interpret current positions and trade issue timing.
Soft Skills & Communication
- Native-level proficiency in English (business written and spoken code required).
- Multilingual preference: Nordic/Turkish/German for expanded portfolio coverage.
- Strong interpersonal approach—consultative sales style builds trust with C-suite decision-makers.
