About Abound
We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation.
And we've shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market-leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch.
Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top-tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs (Sifted, CNBC). Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.
About The Role
You will join one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs and play a key role in scaling our funding platform.
As Capital Markets Manager / Analyst, you'll work directly with the Director of Capital on Abound's funding and financing strategy. From managing billion pounds’ existing debt funding facilities to executing new deals, you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of debt capital markets activity that enables the business to continue its rapid growth.
This is a highly execution-focused role. You'll support private warehouse facilities, private and public securitisation transactions, working alongside leading investment banks, institutional investors, rating agencies, lawyers and other external partners. No two transactions are the same, and you'll gain exposure to every stage of the process, from structuring and analysis through execution and ongoing investor management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Capital markets transactions are demanding, deadlines are real, and the pace is fast. We're looking for someone who thrives in that environment, enjoys solving complex problems, has great attention to details and wants to accelerate their learning by taking on meaningful responsibility from day one. This isn't a role for someone looking for a steady 9-to-5.
