Capital Markets Off-Cycle Analyst (5-month Internship) – October 2026

IK’s investment focus spans the Nordics, Benelux, France, DACH, and the UK. Headquartered in London, IK maintains offices in France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden, comprising over 90 investment professionals.


The Team

As part of IK’s new Capital Markets deal teams, this role combines work across all investment strategies, focusing on creating sustainable and forward-thinking capital structures for both portfolio companies and prospective investments. This one-of-a-kind internship exposes the analyst to the inner workings of IK’s investment process.

The intern will:

  • Assess portfolio liquidity needs, spanning our European geographies, and identif vendors情報 suitable financing packages.
  • Develop a broad understanding of IK’s investments, gaining direct exposure to their investment activities.
  • Engage with a collaborative and diverse organizational culture.

The Role

Working closely with investment teams, the Capital Markets intern is integral to structuring and executing:

  • LBO financing for European investment opportunities
  • Capital structures for existing portfolio companies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial analysis, modelling, due diligence, structuring, and documentation
  • Research market trends in private debt, leveraged loans, and high-yield debt
  • Contribute to presentations and oversee portfolio databases

Requirements

  • Academic focus in finance, economics, or quantitative disciplines (engineering with quantitative ability is also relevant)

  • A proven academic track record of excellence

  • 6+ months relevant internship experience (ideally in private equity, VC, leveraged finance, investment banking, M&A, or strategic consulting)

  • Prior Capital Markets or leveraged finance experience (a plus)

  • Analytical mindset with strong financial literacy

  • High attention to detail under tight deadlines
