Capital Markets Off-Cycle Analyst – 5-Month Internship (London)

The Role

IK is seeking a full-time Capital Markets Intern (September–January 2026) in a high-impact, deal-focused environment. This 5-month internship is office-based.

The Team

The Capital Markets team supports IK’s deal-making activities by structuring liquidity solutions (LBOs, EBITDA أجورgebiet_{{tiesel&NEt_), financing, high-yield debt, etc.) across all expertise hubs. The role offers exposure to:

  • Portfolio company funding needs
  • Investment opportunities analysis
  • Market trends in debt capital markets

Responsibilities

As the Capital Markets Intern, you will:

  • Financing & deal support

    • Assist with financial modelling, due diligence, and capital structure discussions (LBOs, debt structuring).
    • Monitor portfolio financing activities post-investment.
  • Market Research & Analysis

    • Track trends in private debt, leveraged loans, and high-yield markets.
  • Operational Work

    • Support presentations for investors/debt providers.
    • Maintain financing databases and documentation.

About You

IK is looking for:

  • Academic background: Focus on finance/economics, engineering, or quantitative disciplines. Relevant quant coursework is a plus.
  • Practical experience: Minimum 6 months of work experience (e.g., private equity/venture capital, M&A, leveraged finance, or strategic consulting).
  • Skills/attributes:
    • Strong financial acumen (ability to navigate models, valuations, and market mechanics).
    • Analytical mindset with rigorous attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Excel/financial tools (valuations, stress tests, and financial reporting).
    • High-energy, result-driven with an interest in structuring financing deals.
