The Role

You will be part of a cross-cultural global team working across Capital Markets, supporting business consulting engagements. You’ll collaborate with a world-class product management team to drive innovation and enhance user experience in:

  • Investment Banking
  • Asset Management
  • Private Equity
  • Wealth Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or contribute to process consulting, experience design, business analysis, applied AI, tech strategy, program, and change management initiatives.
  • Analyse complex problems—creating creative, out-of-the-box solutions—by applying business consulting frameworks and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to deliver tangible business results.

Current Capital Markets Engagements Include:

  • Strategic assessments to define future-state functional/technical architecture using Design Thinking and Service Blueprinting to align with strategic client objectives.
  • Digitalisation of advisory platforms (end-to-end advisory lifecycle, from prospecting to portfolio management).
  • Machine learning-driven personalisation—tailoring content to life events, investment ideas, service alerts, and client attrition risk assessment.
  • Development of a comprehensive portal that matches clients with Financial Advisors (individuals or teams) via filters like name, location, gender, or International Wealth Advisors/Teams.
  • Design of an Intuitive Advisor Dashboard for managing a financial advisor’s book of clients and tracking associated action items.
  • Reimagining the Operations User Experience with an Intelligent Ops dashboard (KPIs, real-time notifications, SLAs) and direct access to operational systems.
  • Virtual Assistant pilot (CAP)—leveraging cognitive AI to guide Financial Advisors and Customer Support Associates in Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional analysis and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for journeys in:
    • Investment Banking
    • Asset Management
    • Private Equity
    • Wealth Management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in engineering, marketing, design, and sales to streamline product activities.
  • Work closely with technical departments to ensure seamless alignment and issue resolution.
  • Manage the product lifecycle (strategic planning to tactical execution) for both vendored and custom solutions.
  • Lead or participate in sales pursuits, consulting offerings, and internal initiatives—contributing to Firm-building events.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of working experience, either:
    • In management consulting
    • Directly in advisory/technological/operational change initiatives within Capital Markets.
  • Proven ability to define, mobilise, and deliver complex change programs in:
    • Investment Banking
    • Private Equity
    • Asset/Wealth Management firms.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, including:
    • Building relationships with senior management and CXOs.
    • Collaborating with teams comprising IT and business specialists.
  • Candidates authorised to work in the UK without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome. SBC does not offer sponsorship for this role.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Ability to engage with Financial Advisors, operations teams, and tech/practice leaders to understand business models, pain points, regulatory obligations, and develop innovative solutions that drive value while balancing standardisation.
  • Experience with industry-leading managed account solutions/platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in UX/UI programs within:
    • Investment Banking
    • Private Equity
    • Wealth Management
    • Asset Management (to improve advisor/client experience.)
  • A deep understanding of advisory solutions, including:
    • Firm/advisory/client discretionary products
    • SMA/UMA
    • Estate planning
    • Trust services
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural team with flexibility for multi-time-zone support.
