Car Rental Sales Executive

Based: Waltham Abbey

Salary: Basic Salary £31000 per annum plus Commission (OTE £37,500.00) including company vehicle.

Hours: Mon – Fri 08.30-18.00 (one hour for lunch) and Saturday morning 09.00-12.00. (You will get half day off on a weekday in lieu for working on Saturday morning)

Please note that this role requires every Saturday morning to be worked. Please only apply if you can fulfil the working pattern above.


This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our fast-growing Car Rental Company which is part of the Currie Motors Group. A genuine career path and development into a management role is available for the right candidate.

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our Car Hire team at our Waltham Abbey office. This position requires someone who has excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service excellence and is able to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • Providing the highest level of customer service to all of our rental customers
  • Maximising bookings including upselling additional products and services, assisting in achieving revenue and profit goals.
  • Ensuring accurate vehicle handovers, payments and damage inspections are completed for all hires.
  • Assisting in rental administration tasks including rental agreements, vehicle handovers, daily payment summaries etc.
  • Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Provide all hirers with complete customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all other company guidelines and rental processes are adhered to in order to minimise the risk of theft and/or damage to our vehicles.

Additional duties depending on operational requirements which may include but not limited to:

  • Occasional cover and support to other local locations.
  • Ensuring vehicles are prepared and ready for rent.
  • Driving to other local sites.

Essentials/ Skills:

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Must have held a full UK Driving Licence for over 2 years and have experience of both manual & automatic vehicles
  • Friendly, professional customer service skills, enabling great interactions with all of our rental customers and staff.
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach.
  • Good, accurate administration skills.

Desirables:

  • Previous Customer Service, Sales or Rental Experience is preferred; however full training is provided.
