Car Sales Executive – Volkswagen Dealership in Coventry
We are currently recruiting for a Car Sales Executive to join our Volkswagen Dealership in Coventry.
The working hours are Monday to Saturday, with a day off in the week and working Sundays on a rota basis:
- Monday to Friday: 8.30 am – 6 pm
- Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
- Sunday (rota): 10 am – 5 pm
Key Benefits:

Role and Responsibilities
As a Sales Executive at Listers, your role focuses on ensuring every customer feels valued by understanding how our vehicles fit uniquely into their lifestyle. Your duties include:
- Matching the right customer with the perfect car, from features and add-ons to financing and deal structuring.
- Delivering total customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey.
- Building trust and creating a memorable first impression through effective communication.
- Maximising opportunities by:
- Prospecting and following up on calls.
- Managing inbound telephone enquiries, walk-in prospects, and internet enquiries.
- Achieving monthly KPIs and driving profitability through:
- Unit sales targets
- Profit per unit
- Finance penetration
- Sales of add-on products
- Ensuring compliance with FCA and data protection regulations by maintaining accurate customer and vehicle data in our database.

About You
This role is ideal for candidates who:
- Have experience in roles such as car sales executive, retail manager, or sales manager (experience is not mandatory as full training will be provided).
- Can demonstrate a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Are adept at building rapport with customers quickly.
- Have the potential to grow a long-term career in the automotive industry.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence.
Note: While motor trade & automotive experience is preferred, it is not essential.
