Role Description
This is a full-time Carbon Market Analyst position within our growing Research team, at a pivotal moment in the evolution of international carbon markets. The successful candidate will:

- Conduct in-depth research on major carbon compliance and voluntary markets (e.g., EU ETS, UK ETS, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAM), and CORSIA)
- Analyse market data to support client needs
- Contribute to tailored carbon risk management solutions through modelling, reporting, and strategic insights
Key Responsibilities
- Policy & Market Analysis: Track regulatory and market shifts affecting carbon pricing (e.g., trade instruments, compliance obligations)
- Data & Modelling: Analyse carbon market data using Excel and other tools; build/maintain predictive models to forecast demand trends
- Reporting & Advisory: Draft comprehensive market reports, peer reviews, and client-facing briefings
- Client & Industry Engagement: Represent Redshaw at conferences, workshops, webinars, and media appearances
- Consulting Collaboration: Contribute to market design projects, training materials, case studies, and ad-hoc report writing
- Growth-Oriented Development: Help refine Advisory services and products, in partnership with sales/trading/marketing teams

Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Interest/experience in carbon markets (equivalency in related sustainability fields considered)
- Strong analytical & research skills
- Proficient in Excel (advance-level tools, like Python/R a plus)
- Clear written/verbal communication—amber clients, peers, and industry audiences
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask efficiently
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively
- Commercial awareness—focused on delivering client value
Preferred
- Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental management, or economics (BA degree in related fields or relevant work experience also welcome)
- Competence in coding tools (e.g., Python, R) or databases
- Languages (French, Spanish, Chinese, or Arabic) would be advantageous
