Job Summary
NQA is seeking a Carbon & Sustainability Commercial Manager to drive the growth and commercial success of our Carbon & Sustainability Services portfolio. In this role, you'll identify and develop new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and collaborate with sales, technical, and marketing teams to deliver successful carbon verification and sustainability solutions. NQA provides accredited certification, training, and support services to help customers improve processes, performance, and products and services. We have issued over 50,000 certificates to clients in over 90 countries resulting in a yearly revenue of around 100 million Euro. NQA was acquired by Kiwa in 2024, a global leader in the Testing, Inspecting and Certification (TIC) sector, based in the Netherlands.
About The Role
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within carbon and wider sustainability services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and launch of new sustainability services aligned with market demand.
- Support proposals, pricing, tenders, and commercial offers.
- Track and report sales pipeline activity, and contribute to revenue growth and commercial targets.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity.
- Represent NQA at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure excellent customer experience and successful service delivery.

Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within a B2B environment, ideally in certification, sustainability, environmental services, or professional services.
- Knowledge of carbon verification, sustainability services, or related standards (GHG, ISO 14064-1, ESG Frameworks).
- An understanding of ISO 17029 and its application as a verification body.
- A proven track record of developing new business and growing customer relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver value for customers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in environmental, sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Proficient IT skills, including CRM systems and the ability to work with data to support decision-making.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional international travel.

- 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday (hybrid/remote with travel to our Dunstable office)
