Card Product Manager / Proposition Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

As we expand our product capabilities, we’re seeking an experienced Card Product Manager / Proposition Manager to join us on a fixed-term contract, shaping the future of our SMB card portfolio and driving impact across Europe. About the Role
This is a hands-on, contract-based position for someone with deep expertise in card products and SME-driven financial propositions. Reporting closely to the VP Product, you’ll define the next era of myPOS's card offerings, including:
- Premium debit tiers
- A future credit card MVP
- Value-added services (insurance, travel, lounge, and rewards)
You’ll act as a delivery-focused product operator, steering propositions from conceptualisation to partner selection, commercial modelling, and roadmap implementation. This is a high-impact role—with broad exposure to :
- Leadership
- Product strategy
- Partnerships
- Engineering teams
- Commercial strategies —in a fast-paced fintech environment, offering real ownership and autonomy.
What You’ll Do
Strategy and Innovation
- Collaborate with the VP Product to design the next generation of SMB-focused card propositions, including:
- New debit tiers
- Premier-tier upsells
- Consumer-focused credit card MVP extension
Product and Commercial Modelling
- Create detailed product specifications for all card tiers (debit, Premier, and credit) and accompanying P&L models, covering:
- Interchange mechanics
- Scheme fees
- Foreign exchange (FX) implications
- Attachment rates
- ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) assumptions
Value-Added Services Development
- Scoping revenue-generating add-ons:
- Insurance offerings
- Travel privileges
- Lounge access
- Rewards programs
- Assess build-vs-partner-vs-white-label opportunities for each service stream

Third-Party Partner Evaluations
- Lead end-to-end partner selection and Request-for-Proposal (RFP) processes for providers including:
- Issuer/processing partners
- Revenue segment teams (e.g., rewards providers)
- Insurance brokers
- Travel/Lounge services
- Credit-decisioning engines
- Produce vendor shortlists, scoring matrices, and recommendation reports across teams
Customer Insights and Competitor Benchmarking
- Conduct rigorous customer research, including:
- Interviews with test merchants
- Willingness-to-pay assessments
- Segmentation reviews of SMB financial behaviours
- Competitive tear-downs of:
-Incumbent neobanks (e.g., Revolut Business, Qonto, Wise Business)
- Merchant-centric tools like Pleo or Soldo -Traditional SMB card providers
Execution and Roadmapping
- Support sequenced portfolio delivery by:
- Aligning MVP timelines with partner dependencies
- Refining resource requirements across departments
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- 4–7 years of experience in card products or proposition development, with a strong specialisation in SMB-focused and commercial cards (consumer cards alone are insufficient).
- cards economics savvy, including interchange understanding, scheme fee structures, FX considerations, and funding cost analysis.
- Proven track record of leading partner selection events:
- From long-listing and vendor vetting through RFP drafting and final recommendation
- Prior exposure to high-growth financial services, with experience in:
- Fintech, merchant services, banking, or embedded financials spaces
- Where appropriate, early-stage team setups requiring hands-on leadership.
- Written and verbal clarity, with the ability to produce self-documenting tools, briefs, and data visualisations tailoring to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Influence:
- Credit card launch experience—whether it’s designing underwriting transformative strategies, decisioning frameworks, or collections strategies.
- Travel, rewards, insurance, or lounge value-added tracking—directly married to Visa/Mastercard role configurations.
- Acquiring-side commercial exposure, with emphasis on:
- Knowledge of SMB ‘merchant journeys’—pending payment acceptance and SMB spending flow positioning.
