Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Physiologist – Barts Heart Centre

About the Role
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist to provide exercise prescription for cardiovascular endurance, exercise, and resistance training within a cardiac rehabilitation setting. This role is based in community settings across Waltham Forest, with occasional work required at various Barts Health trust sites.
The post holder will collaborate closely with the exercise physiologists based at Royal London Hospital and the Tower Hamlets Community Service. This job requires an enthusiastic, flexible, confident, and independent individual capable of thriving in a multi-professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exercise prescription for:
- Cardiovascular endurance
- General exercise
- Resistance training

Develop and implement monitoring systems to enable:
- Comprehensive evaluation of the physical activity/exercise component
- Tracking and assessing service effectiveness
Establish strong working relationships to ensure:
- Quality care
- Continuity of patient outcomes
- Cost-effective service delivery
Manage patient caseloads and maintain high standards of care. Work alongside the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse for ongoing supervision and support.
