Care and Support Worker - Shepton Mallet

Join Our Friendly Team at Candlelight Care

Candlelight Care is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family-run team. You will support vulnerable adults in their own homes across Shepton Mallet, Somerset, and surrounding areas.

Opportunities Available

We have full-time and part-time roles, with typical shifts between 7am–2pm and/or 4pm–10pm, along with alternate weekend work.

🚗 Driving is not always essential—please enquire about local route availability.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve a range of supportive tasks tailored to each client’s needs, including:

  • Building meaningful relationships by getting to know clients, their preferences, and individual care requirements.
  • Providing emotional and practical support, such as:
    • Personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing)
    • Domestic assistance (meal preparation, light housekeeping)
  • Medication management, assisting with mobility aids, and safeguarding equipment use where required.
  • Monitoring wellbeing closely and reporting any significant changes to the Registered Manager.
