Candlelight Care – Carer Vacancy
We’re looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable individuals to join our friendly, family-run team at Candlelight Care. In this role, you’ll provide essential support to vulnerable adults in their own homes across Uckfield, East Sussex, and surrounding areas.
About the Role
We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with typical shift patterns:
- 7am–2pm
- 4pm–10pm
- Alternate weekends (mandatory)
Driving is not always essential, though it depends on your location. Some areas may provide walking or cycling routes—please ask if you’d like further details.

Key Responsibilities
Every day in Health and Social Care brings unique challenges. As a member of our team, you’ll:
- Build relationships with clients by understanding their interests and personal needs
- Provide practical and emotional support, such as:
- Assisting with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing)
- Helping with domestic tasks and meal preparation
- Medication management
- Supporting mobility needs and personal equipment use
- Monitor overall wellbeing and report any significant changes in a client’s health or circumstances to the Registered Manager
- Encourage independence while ensuring safety and safeguarding
