We are now recruiting compassionate, reliable Care Professionals to join our community team supporting clients across the Basildon and wider Essex regions. As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you’ll be a trusted presence in people’s homes, helping them maintain dignity, independence, and a high quality of life.

Unlike hospital or residential care, community homecare focuses on empowering vulnerable adults to stay in their own homes. You’ll be more than just a carer—you’ll be a friend, a guide, and a reliable support who makes a tangible difference every day.

Castle Point & Surrounding Areas:

💷 Pay & Benefits

⏰ Working Hours

  • Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Evening Shifts: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • 7 Days a Week (WorkFlexible Options Available)

🔹 Responsibilities

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your role includes:

🏡 Core Care Support

  • Personal Care (with dignity & respect):
    • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
  • Medication Management:
    • Preparing and administering prescribed medication safely
  • Mobility Support:
    • Helping clients use aids/equipment (walkers, wheelchairs) confidently
  • Mealtime Assistance:
    • Preparing nutritious meals/snacks and ensuring safe eating habits

🛋️ Homely & Domestic Support

  • Light domestic tasks: laundry, bed-making, basic home tidying
  • Encouraging social engagement with families and friends.
  • Providing companionship & emotional reassurance to combat loneliness.

🚨 Health & Safety

  • Monitoring clients’ health changes and escalating concerns to healthcare teams.
  • Accurate documentation of care provided (electronic & manual records).
  • Handling emergency situations with effective crisis management.

🤝 Team Collaboration

  • Working closely with families, healthcare professionals, and care team members to ensure holistic support.

💾 Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

✅ Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle (transport essential for job) ✅ Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred:

  • At least 6 months’ experience in social/domiciliary care (though passionate newcomers are welcomed!)
