Care Assistant
Care Assistant – Earlsferry House Care Home
£13.60 per hour
- Hours: Contracted to 38.5 hours per week (alternate weekends)
- Shift Times: 07:30AM – 19:30PM
- Benefits:
- Paid PVG / police check pension
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rated for full-time contract)
About the Role
At Earlsferry House Care Home, nestled beside a beach in Elie, Fife, you’ll make a meaningful difference daily in the lives of up to 26 residents across our Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care services.
As a Care Assistant, your work will be central to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, prioritising dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You’ll:
- Support individuals with daily living, including:
- Personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing)
- Mobility assistance
- Nutrition and meals
- Emotional and social wellbeing
- Tailor care to each resident’s needs through care plans
- Monitor changes in condition and report proactively
- Foster trusting relationships in a small, close-knit team
- Contribute to a warm, positive environment where residents feel valued

What We Are Looking For
- A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach to all residents
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Essential:
- Commitment to person-centred values
- Flexibility to work shift patterns
- Desirable:
- SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Care—alternatively, a willingness to work towards qualification
