Care Assistant – Alex Wood House Care Home

About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Care Assistant will:
- Provide high-quality, individualised care catered to each resident’s needs.
- Contribute to tailored activities to enrich daily life.
- Follow and update care plans in alignment with each resident’s requirements.

Salary & Working Hours
- Days: £12.71 per hour.
- Nights: £13.23 per hour.
- Work pattern: 18 hours per week, shift-based (Monday to Sunday rota).
Location: Fortescue Road, Cambridge, CB4 2JS (3 miles from the city centre).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care needs.
- Assist residents during meal times, ensuring dietary appropriateness.
- Engage in and facilitate home activities to promote person-centred care.
- Complete all required training & qualifications (statutory, mandatory, and development-focused).
Training, Skills & Experience Required
✔ A genuine passion for care and a commitment to prioritising our residents. ✔ Desire NVQ/QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (highly preferred), though training support is provided. ✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills with an enthusiastic attitude.
