Care Assistant – Make a Real Difference! at McCarthy Stone
Location & Contract
- Foundry Place, Gosford Road, Beccles, Suffolk, UK
- Part-time: 15 hours/week
- Enhanced pay
- £13.26–£14.56/hour
- Evening/weekend shifts pay extra
- Lot-based hours: Mix of early, late shifts + alternate weekends

About the Role
At Foundry Place, a stunning retirement living development in Beccles, you’ll care for 55 one-/two-bedroom residents (aged 70+). Their community includes:
- A chef-run bistro
- A luxurious lounge with free Wi-Fi

What You’ll Do
Your Key Responsibilities
- Daily support:
- Assist with appointments, light cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Community & wellbeing:
- Encourage social activities and daily routines
- Provide person-centred care tailored to each resident’s needs
- Support independence in a friendly, inclusive environment
- Care packages:
- Contribute to individual care plans in collaboration with the team

Who We’d Love to Hear From
Experience Qualifications
- Preferred: 1+ year in UK-based health/social care
- Not essential if you’re caring, empathetic, and eager to learn
- Plus points: Confirmed Level 2 QCF in Health & Social Care (Adults)
