Care Assistant

HOME CARE WORKER

Location: Chester and surrounding areas

  • Competitive Pay: £14 - £15.75 plus pension and holiday pay (equating to a rolled-up rate of £16.16 - £18.18)
  • Eligibility: Applications open to female candidates with a full UK driving licence due to the specific needs of our clients

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Home Care Worker with Alcedo Care, you’ll provide compassionate support to individuals in their homes while demonstrating independence and making a meaningful difference. We pride ourselves on being a Top 20 Rated Home Care Group for six years running.

  • Personal Care (washing, dressing, continence support, mobility assistance)
  • Medication and meal preparation to ensure clients receive proper care
  • Daily household tasks (laundry, tidying, and routine management)
  • Encouraging independence and providing companionship
  • Transport support for clients where required

With 6 months' experience, you may progress to specialist care roles, such as:

  • Complex Care (supporting individuals with conditions like spinal injuries, respiratory disorders, and tracheostomy care)
  • Children’s Support (personal care, emotional support, and assistance for children with complex needs)
  • Mental Health Support (counseling, routine management, and confidence-building)

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 18 years old
  • Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Flexible hours available, including alternate weekends
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required
  • For Complex Care, Children’s, or Mental Health roles, 6 months’ hands-on UK care experience is necessary
