Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Range: FC4 £26,786.83 to £29,170.80 (pro rata) Working Pattern: Various posts available (e.g. 16–36 hours per week), Flexible shifts including:
- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Sleepovers
- Night shifts
Location: Cowdenbeath & Kelty

Job Details
Fife Council is seeking enthusiastic and committed Care Assistants to join the Adult Services (Resources) team.
You will provide care and support to adults with:
- Physical disabilities
- Learning disabilities
- Mental health needs
Focus is on helping individuals live independently in their own homes or supported accommodation.

The role requires:
- Teamwork and lone working
- Delivery of high-quality, person-centred care in line with Health and Social Care Standards
Key Responsibilities

Deliver personal care, including assistance with daily living activities

Help individuals develop independent living skills
-
Promote social inclusion and community participation
-
Support mobility and moving/handling tasks (including wheelchair use)

Assist with household tasks, shopping, and appointments

Contribute to care plans and maintain accurate records

Work flexibly across services based on service user needs

Additional Requirement: Availability to work unsocial hours including public holidays where necessary

Essential Requirements:
- Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Hold or work towards SCQF Level 6 (SVQ2) in Social Services & Healthcare
- Pre-appointment tasks:
- Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland
- Join the relevant PVG scheme
