Care Assistant – Residential & Dementia Care Role
Location: Exceptional care home in Ormskirk, Lancashire, UK
Employer: One of the UK’s leading healthcare providers, staffed by a team of highly-qualified professionals in a purpose-built residential and dementia care facility.
About the Role
Seeking a committed Care Assistant to deliver high-quality residential and dementia care to older adults. You’ll join a dedicated team dedicated to helping residents live their later years with dignity, support, and meaning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care, ensuring residents enjoy a fulfilling later life with happiness and independence.
- Assist with personal care (toileting, bathing, dressing) but enable dignity and autonomy where possible.
- Support residents in activities that enhance physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Use your people skills to build compassionate relationships, making a tangible difference in residents’ lives.

Preferred Skills & Experience
- Prior care experience or working with vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong confidentiality – sensitivity regarding resident data is paramount.
- Empathy and patience, particularly when supporting those with dementia.
- Clear verbal and written communication to document care accurately.
