About the Role
Each shift is a 24-hour shift with an overnight sleep-in.
We’re seeking a kind, compassionate, and pet-friendly individual to join our team, supporting a young woman with a spinal cord injury in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Her companions include her supportive sister and her mischievous grey tabby cat. She has a love for rare plants, greenery, and mindful hobbies, enjoys exploring new experiences, and embraces daily adventures.
Your role will enable her to live her life to the fullest by supporting her with:
- Daily living and personal care activities.
- Mobility assistance.
- Bowel management support.
- Facilitating her hobbies and outings, whether near or far.
- Working confidently around pets.
Beyond tasks, you’ll exude warmth, humour, and resilience to create a positive environment. You’ll collaborate with other professionals thrice daily to provide seamless care.

Responsibilities
- Support daily living & personal care: Help with meals, mobility, hygiene, and clothing.
- Bowel management assistance: Providing support in a considerate and discreet manner.
- Enabling independence: Encouraging her to participate in activities and experiences tailored to her interests.
- Accommodate pets: Familiarity with and comfort around animals, especially around her beloved cat.
- Adherence to care plans: Following instructions from healthcare professionals, while interfacing naturally with your support team.
- Professional collaboration: Working alongside at least three other professionals per shift to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Key Requirements
✔ Full UK Driving Licence: Must have access to an own vehicle—your mode of transport to support our client. ✔ Experience with bowel management: Prior exposure or willingness to learn with training provided. ✔ Compassionate listener: Sound understanding and patience to learn new needs. ✔ Reliability and flexibility: Commitment to a 24-hour per-week schedule, with equally variable working hours. ✔ Pet-friendly attitude: Respectful and assured behaviour around animals.
