Care Assistant - Contract Role – Etive House Care Home, Benderloch
Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62 residents.
Work Details
- Hourly Wage: £14.10 per hour
- Welcome Bonus: £500 (paid after passing 6-month probation)
- Hours: Contract up to 44 hours per week
- Benefits:
- Paid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) pension
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (full-time basis)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living (personal care, mobility, nutrition, emotional wellbeing)
- Ensure residents feel comfortable, respected, and valued
- Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition
- Support safe, responsive, and consistent care
- Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, welcoming environment
- Develop meaningful relationships with residents
This opportunity is open to:
- Experienced carers
- Newcomers to the sector
Full training, guidance, and ongoing development will be provided.
What We Are Looking For
- A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- While previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential
- Preferably holds an SVQ Level 2 (or willingness to work towards it)
