Care Assistant - Contract Role – Etive House Care Home, Benderloch

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62 residents.


Work Details

  • Hourly Wage: £14.10 per hour
  • Welcome Bonus: £500 (paid after passing 6-month probation)
  • Hours: Contract up to 44 hours per week
  • Benefits:
    • Paid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) pension
    • Uniform provided
    • 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (full-time basis)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living (personal care, mobility, nutrition, emotional wellbeing)
  • Ensure residents feel comfortable, respected, and valued
  • Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition
  • Support safe, responsive, and consistent care
  • Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, welcoming environment
  • Develop meaningful relationships with residents

This opportunity is open to:

  • Experienced carers
  • Newcomers to the sector

Full training, guidance, and ongoing development will be provided.


What We Are Looking For

  • A caring, compassionate, and respectful approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • While previous experience is beneficial, it is not essential
  • Preferably holds an SVQ Level 2 (or willingness to work towards it)
