About The Role

At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Our residents are individuals with unique stories, and by joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference while helping them live with dignity and purpose.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you’ll support the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of our residents. Duties include:

  • Assisting with personal care such as washing, dressing, hygiene, and meals
  • Supporting residents with daily activities in the home

Two part-time positions (each at 22 hours) are available, so you must have no work restrictions.

Your care will always be rooted in kindness, ensuring residents maintain their individuality:

  • Supporting those with limited mobility
  • Offering comfort to residents experiencing distress
  • Providing compassionate end-of-life care, prioritising their wellbeing above all else

Safeguarding is a critical responsibility within adult social care. You must:

  • Recognise signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect
  • Understand how to raise concerns, escalate issues, and seek appropriate advice
  • Complete mandatory safeguarding training tailored to your role

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness isn’t just a principle—it’s a way of living. We believe meaningful care begins by understanding what truly matters to our residents, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
