Role Description
As a Care Assistant at Bluebird Care Rochdale, you will provide practical and emotional support to individuals in their homes, helping with personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, and light household tasks. You will build trusting relationships with the people you support, encouraging independence while ensuring safety and comfort.

Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitoring wellbeing
- Recording observations
- Reporting any concerns to senior staff

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochdale, requiring flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build rapport and provide person-centered support.
- Candidates should possess care experience and Dementia Care skills to assist individuals with varying care needs safely and compassionately.
- Candidates should possess Manual Handling skills and an understanding of safe moving and handling techniques to promote wellbeing and prevent injury.
- Relevant experience in health or social care, or a care-related qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is beneficial.
- Reliability, empathy, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently are essential.
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are advantageous, along with eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo background checks.
