Care Assistant – Extra Care Services (Avondown House, Bath)

Are you a compassionate care worker seeking a leadership role? Bath & North East Somerset Council is recruiting Care Assistants to support our Extra Care Services at Avondown House.
About the Role
As a Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide holistic, person-centred care and practical support to individuals aged 55 and over (with care needs) living independently within our Extra Care Housing scheme.
- Empower residents to maintain dignity and autonomy in a supportive environment.
- Follow a flexible rota, including alternate weekends and bank holidays (with pay enhancements).
Available Hours:
- 21 hours/week (1 position)
- 17.5 hours/week (1 position) please state preference in your application

Extra Care Housing offers residents with care needs a self-contained flat within a supported community. Our services are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

- Commitment to high-quality care (previous senior care experience is advantageous but not required—full training provided).
