Luso Court Care Centre is a newly commissioned specialist care home in Clapham, London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 80 en suite bedrooms across two floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia care and residential mental health support within a safe and clinically led environment.

Care Assistant Contract

  • £12.90 per hour
  • Full time and part time contracts available
  • Day shifts and night shifts available
  • Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

The Role

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role within the care team, supporting residents with complex physical health needs, dementia and mental health conditions. You will provide high quality, person-centred care while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.

  • You will support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily routines, ensuring care is delivered safely and in line with each individual’s care plan.
  • Working closely with Nurses and senior staff, you will monitor residents’ wellbeing, report any changes promptly and contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • You will also support residents to remain socially engaged and comfortable within the home, helping to create a calm and positive atmosphere where individuals feel respected and valued.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable
  • A compassionate, respectful and patient approach to care
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • A genuine interest in supporting people with complex care needs
