Care Assistant

Care Assistant – Dementia, Nursing, Residential & Specialist Care

About The Role

At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Our residents are individuals with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll contribute to their lives with purpose, helping them live with dignity, warmth, and care.

We’re looking for an engaging and committed Care Assistant to play a vital role in our team. Reporting to a Registered Nurse, you’ll focus on the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. This includes:

  • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, hygiene, meals)
  • Supporting daily activities within the home
  • Fostering meaningful connections and promoting individuality for all residents

You’ll bring care from the heart, ensuring every resident retains their unique identity—whether assisting someone with limited mobility, offering comfort to those in distress, or delivering compassionate end-of-life care. Resident well-being will always be your top priority.

Safeguarding is a core responsibility in adult social care: you’ll be trained to:

  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect
  • Act appropriately when concerns arise
  • Seek guidance and escalate issues as needed

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness isn’t just philosophy—it’s how we live. We believe caring for people means empowering them to live life as fully as possible, understanding what truly matters to them.

Our “Kindness: The HC-One Way”

We nurture five key qualities in every colleague:

  • Curious – Never stopping to ask questions, listen, and understand.
  • Compassionate – Walking alongside others with empathy.
  • Creative – Finding simple solutions to complex needs.
  • Courageous – Supporting residents to live the lives they choose.
  • Dependable – Reliable, trusted, and there when needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
